50th - History of OTTO

In 1961, Jack Roeser founded OTTO with $5,000 and faith in the American Dream.  A trained engineer, Jack designed and perfected control switches, such as the P1 pushbutton and various rotary devices.  For the next 50 years, his entrepreneurial spirit grew OTTO's switch business into a global enterprise with customers in every corner of the world.  OTTO's Communication Division is only 20 years old, yet it serves public safety and military units with dependable two way radio communication devices and represents over 40% of the business.  When Tom Roeser took over as President in 1987, his engineering and business experience took OTTO to new heights, growing the business tenfold in just 25 years.   OTTO proudly celebrates 50 years of excellence in the Controls and Communications industries.  But OTTO will not rest on past success.  We have great plans for the future with new product prototyping, innovative designs and a keen focus on the needs of our customer.  OTTO - Celebrating our past; focused on our customers.
