Performs a variety of Sales duties to ensure a smooth department operation.
Work with Sales Management Team to establish and track the goals of the customer service department.
Supervise and direct the activities of the customer service representatives and any clerical support roles within the customer service department.
Establish efficient systems for the handling of all customer service tasks including price and delivery info, order entry, order confirmation review, expediting, order changes, invoicing, literature requests and problem resolution.
Ensure that all customer service personnel are trained in these activities and review their performance on a regular and formal basis.
Work with major customers and distributors to implement E.D.I. programs which will reduce the cycle time and error rates of manual order entry.
Scheduling, and point of sale reporting functions.
Monitor the order activity of key accounts, in conjunction with the Mfg.’s rep’ and the Regional Sales Manager to address significant trends.
Visit key accounts on a regular basis to maintain and build relationships.
Establish and maintain a system for bench marking OTTO’s performance against the competition.
Maintain an ongoing initiative to find improvements in systems, process and personnel utilization which provide a competitive edge to OTTO.
Conduct annual performance appraisals.
Provide group with necessary supplies.
Requires the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
Assist with other related duties as required or assigned.
Minimum high school diploma (4 year degree a plus)
5-7 years customer service experience.
Supervisory/Management experience preferred.
Pleasant and helpful telephone manner.
Must be capable of keeping a neat and organized work area.
MS Office computer knowledge.
Strong oral and written skills.
Requires self-motivation and ability to complete projects with strict guidelines.
Must be able to work in a quick paced environment.
Availability for nonstandard or extended work schedule.
