Programmer/Analyst


  • Responsible for requirements gathering and definition, systems design and development, programming, testing and maintenance of software related to the OTTO Enterprise Resource Planning system and other designated systems as needed.

    • Work with departmental heads and their staff to understand how their functional area of the business works, how it related to other departments, and what they do on a day to day basis.

    • Work with departmental heads and their staff to understand their technical requirements of OTTO systems.

    • Translate system requirements into recommended software changes while gaining a technical understanding of how changes will affect all areas of OTTO systems.

    • Program and test software changes and work with users to perform acceptance testing.

    • Develop project plans and status reports where appropriate.

    • Assist in management of software system upgrades.

    • Manage administrative issues such as setting up new users and maintaining background system processes.

    • Communicate with and manage software vendors as needed.

    • Assist with network/hardware issues as needed.

    • Assist with other related duties as required or needed.

    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or equivalent work related experience) required.

    • 5 years computer programming experience with at least 2 years as a Programmer Analyst.

    • 3 years programming experience in VB.net or C# in a SQL Server environment.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects, issues and tasks in a fast paced environment.

    • Aptitude for quickly solving complex system issues without compromising attention to detail.

    • History of building good rapport with internal clients and stakeholders.

    • Strong understanding of user test, system test and production environments.

    • Strong oral and written communication skills.

    • SSIS and SSRS experience preferred.

    • Infor Syteline and Mongoose development platform experience a plus.
